Director's Welcome

Jason Jackson   At the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services (DAS), we work to help grow Nebraska by creating opportunity through more effective, more efficient, and customer-focused state government. With a focus on customer service, DAS strives to streamline processes, improve services, and save taxpayer dollars. We are continuously looking for new and innovative ways to provide our customers and other agencies the best services possible.
DAS was created by the enactment of LB173 in 1965 by the 75th Nebraska Legislature. For over 55 years, DAS has been providing centralized support services to state agencies, boards, and commissions. These functions are spearheaded by the agency director through various divisions, which are:
  • State Accounting
  • State Building Division
  • DAS Human Resources
  • Materiel Division
  • State Personnel
  • Risk Management
  • 309 Task Force for Building Renewal
  • Transportation Services Bureau

Nebraskans deserve high level, quality service. In order to deliver these services, our teammates work hard to provide state agencies throughout Nebraska with a strong support system. We will continue to be dedicated to creating a culture of continuous improvement throughout State government to grow Nebraska and deliver more value for our customers, teammates, and taxpayers.
