Lee Will has been with Nebraska government since 2015 as a Budget Management Analyst and Deputy Budget Administrator. In 2020, he was appointed State Budget Administrator and reappointed to this role in 2022. He is responsible for managing a state budget totaling over $15 billion annually. Lee has been critical to the passage of the most conservative budgets in Nebraska’ history.
Governor Pillen promoted Lee to Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the State and Director of the Department of Administrative Services beginning October 1, 2024. He resides in Omaha with his wife Amber, two daughters, and three cats.
Lee holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in History Pre-Law from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
