Construction Services

The Building Division provides planning, design and construction to most state agencies in order to help them accomplish their programmatic functions. These services include the preparation of the state's comprehensive plan, capital construction budgets, facility planning, preparation of needs and program statements and complete capital construction project management. Projects range from planning and construction of new state facilities to small remodel projects. Projects include site improvements (i.e. parking, driveways, lighting); energy efficiency improvements (i.e. window replacement, mechanical systems, replacements, insulation); exterior improvements (i.e. roof replacements, tuck pointing, caulking); code compliance (i.e. ADA, IBC, Life Safety, (etc) and any other project related to state lands and buildings.

Professional planners, architects, engineers and other consultants are hired to assist in the fulfillment of this function. The Division coordinates the interaction between the agencies and the consultants during the planning and design process and oversees the construction of the projects.
