Phil Olsen
State Accounting Administrator
Phil Olsen is the State Accounting Administrator, serving in this role since February 2019. Prior to DAS, he worked in multiple roles in the Auditor’s Office, including Assistant Deputy State Auditor.
He is a member of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers (NASACT), Association of Government Accountants (AGA), and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and is certified with a Lean Six Sigma Executive Green Belt.
Phil received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his MBA from Northwest Missouri State University. Phil and his wife have three children, with whom they enjoy traveling. He volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and is the Treasurer of his Homeowners Association.
