Mileage Rate Effective Increase
Effective
July 1, 2008, the IRS has increased the standard mileage rate for the final six
months of the year. The rate will increase to 58.5 cents a mile for all
business miles driven from July 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008. In
accordance with State Accounting Travel Policy #
7, the State will also increase the
mileage rate to 58.5 cents per mile effective July 1, 2008.
In addition,
the mileage rates for medical and moving expenses has increased to 27 cents per
mile.
The rate for
airline miles remains at $1.07 per mile.
