Jeremy Elder has served the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) since 2003 in the correctional industries division, Cornhusker State Industries (CSI). Starting as a Manufacturing Engineer, he subsequently served in Manufacturing Manager, Assistant Administrator and Assistant Deputy Director roles. In January 2016, Mr. Elder was appointed NDCS Deputy Director – Industries with responsibility for management of CSI and Federal Surplus Property (FSP).
Mr. Elder earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2001 and completed a Master of Business Administration degree in 2009 with a focus in strategic management. Mr. Elder is an active member of the National Correctional Industry Association (NCIA) and has completed the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Correctional Industry Director’s Training and the Nebraska State Government Leadership Certificate Program. Mr. Elder began his career as a Project Engineer for Baldwin Filters in Kearney, NE.
