Claire McHenry is the Deputy Director – Securities Bureau of the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance.  Ms. McHenry has twelve years of state securities regulation experience.  Prior to joining the Department in May 2016, she was an examiner with the Securities Bureau of the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking where she led examinations of complex investment advisers and broker-dealers, investigated unlicensed activities and unregistered securities offerings, and developed enforcement cases. Ms. McHenry is a member of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Broker-Dealer Section and NASAA Spring Conference Chair.  Ms. McHenry has been a speaker at NASAA training conferences presenting on audit findings and effective private fund examinations.  She earned her Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and her Juris Doctorate from American University - Washington College of Law.
