This lesson will show you the steps to take to add subtotals by location after you have opened the report in CSV format.
Steps:
Adjust column widths and delete empty columns or add header text to each column so the Subtotals function will work correctly.
Step 1Click the upper left hand corner of the spreadsheet.
This will highlight the entire spreadsheet.
Step 2Double-click the the line between columns A and B. This will expand the columns to their proper width.
Step 3Click Row 1.
Step 4Right-click the desired object.
Step 5Click the Delete menu.
Step 6Right-click the desired object.
Step 7Click the Delete menu.
Step 8Click the B option.
Step 9Press the [Ctrl] key and click the D option.
Step 10Press the [Ctrl] key and click the F option.
Step 11Press the [Ctrl] key and click the G option.
Step 12Press the [Ctrl] key and click the I option.
Step 13Right-click.
Step 14Click the Delete menu.
Step 15Click the K option.
Step 16Right-click the desired object.
Step 17Click the Delete menu.
Step 18To add automated Subtotals by location (Transaction Explanation), select a cell in the Transaction Explanation column.
Click the Transaction Explanation option.
Step 19Click the Data tab.
Step 20Click the Subtotal button.
Step 21Click the At each change in: list.
Step 22Click the Transaction Explanation list item.
Step 23Click the Use function: list.
Step 24Click the Sum list item.
Step 25Click the Extended Cost option.
Step 26Click the Transaction Explanation option.
Step 27Click the OK button.
