Export Payroll Journal Data Entry


In this lesson you will learn how to export payroll journal data entry.

 

Note: Agencies can either follow the steps to create a Journal Entry using the export/import function of the system, or create a Journal Entry by manually entering the data for their agency business units.


Steps:

  1. Click the State of Nebraska link.

  2. Click the Accounting link.

  3. Click the Manage Journal Entry link.

  4. Click the Enter Manual Journal Entries link.

  5. Click the Journal Entries with Debit/Credit Format link.

  6. Enter the batch number into the Batch Number field. 

     

    For this lesson enter "2087864".

  7. Click in the Batch Type field.

  8. Change the Batch Type field to "7".

  9. Click the Find button.

  10. Click the T2 option.

  12. Note: An agency may have a few lines or multiple lines.

  14. Warning: If you have never exported to Excel before, a warning screen will appear. It is a Security Warning about importing data from JD Edwards onto your computer.  If you get this warning click Yes.  

     

    In this lesson we did not get this warning.

  15. Click the Continue button.

  16. An Excel Spreadsheet will appear with the exported information.

     

    To expand the cells click the upper left corner of the spead sheet.

  17. Double-click the line between "A" and "B".

  20. Save the spreadsheet making note of location where you saved it and what you named it.  

     

    For this lesson name the file "Training Example".

  22. Click the Close button (the red X in the upper right hand corner) to close the Excel file.
