In this lesson you will learn how to enter an IBT Invoice.
Click the State of Nebraska link.Step 1
Click the Accounts Receivable link.Step 2
Click the Accounts Receivable Processing link.Step 3
Click the Invoicing link.Step 4
Click the Enter & Print Invoice link.Step 5
Click the IBT Invoice Entry link.Step 6
Click the Add button.Step 7
Enter the customer address book number into the Customer field.
Note: When billing on an IBT use an address book search type of F.
For this lesson enter "605965".Step 8
Press [Tab].Step 9
Enter the fund into the Fund field. For this lesson enter "10000".Step 10
Invoice Date – date of your invoice to the customer or leave blank to default to G/L Date.
In this lesson we will leave this field blank.Step 11
Click in the G/L Date field.Step 12
Enter the date on which the entry should post to the general ledger into the G/L Date field. For this lesson enter "12/15/09".Step 13
Click in the Gross Amount field.Step 14
Enter the amount into the Gross Amount field. For this lesson enter "200".Step 15
Press [Tab].Step 16
Identify the invoice (up to 30 characters) into the Remark field. For this lesson enter "Training Example".Step 17
Note: Click the down arrow key on the keyboard to add additional lines.
Note: G/L Class – enter the appropriate offset code – this field is required when the general ledger distribution for a portion of the invoice will go to a fund other than the fund listed in the invoice header. You will need to scroll to the right on the QBE line.
In this lesson we are not going to add any additional lines or complete the G/L Class field.Step 18
Click the OK button.Step 19
Enter the account number into the Account Number field. For this lesson enter "65025009.961000".Step 20
Amount – should be negative, all or part of the Gross Amount
Explanation -Remark- – will default to the same as above or can be modifiedStep 21
Press the down arrow on your keyboard.Step 22
Add additional line(s) as needed.
Note: Amount field should show full distributed amount, Remaining field should be blank.

Note: If the General Ledger distribution involves more than one fund, be sure the distribution is consistent with the invoice grid information and the G/L Class codes used.Step 24
