Enroll an Employee in Retirement Lesson

In this lesson you will learn how to enroll an employee in retirement.


  1. Click the NIS State of Nebraska link.

  2. Click the Human Resources/Payroll - Agencies link.

    Step 2
  3. Click the Benefits Administration link.

    Step 3
  4. Click the Enrollment with Eligibility link.

    Step 4
  5. Enter the employee's address book number in the Employee Identification field.  


    Enter "4874666" into the Employee Identification field.

    Step 5
  6. Press [Tab].

    Step 6
  7. In the Effective Date field enter the same date you entered in the Enrollment Effective Date on the Employee Master.  


    Enter "6/15/09" into the Effective Date field.

  8. Click in the Category field.

    Step 8
  9. Enter "RET*" into the Category field.

    Step 9
  10. Click the Find button.

    Step 10
  11. Place a check mark in the appropriate retirement plans in which the employee should be enrolled.


    Note: If an employee will be enrolled in the State Employee Retirement plan, the employee will need plan ID RET00001


    Click the RET00001 plan.

  12. Click the Row button.

  13. Click the Elect menu.

  14. Click the Submit button.
