In this lesson you will learn how to reclassify an employee.
Click the NIS State of Nebraska link.Step 1
Click the Human Resources/Payroll - Agencies link.Step 2
Click the Employee Maintenance link.Step 3
Click the Employee Information link.Step 4
First you will need to find the employee record. You can narrow your search by using the fields in the QBE line. Specifically the Employee No field (the employee's address book number), and the Alpha Name field.Step 5
Click in the Employee No field.Step 6
Enter "4874666" into the Employee No field.Step 7
After entering your search criteria click the Find button.Step 8
Select the record by clicking the check box next to it.Step 9
Click the Row button.Step 10
Click the Organizational menu.Step 11
Click in the Job Code field.Step 12
Change the job code in the Job Code field. Use the Visual Assist tool if needed.
Enter "A05313" into the Job Code field.Step 13
Click the OK button.Step 14
Under the PROPOSED column change the following fields if necessary:
EEO Job Category
In this lesson we are going to change the Pay Class and Overtime Exempt fields.Step 15
Click in the Pay Class field.Step 16
Enter "H" into the Pay Class field.Step 17
Click in the Overtime Exempt field.Step 18
Enter "N"n into the Overtime Exempt field.Step 19
When you are finished click the OK button.Step 20
Type the effective date of the reclassification in the Effective On field.
Enter "7/1/09" into the Effective On field.Step 21
Press [Tab].Step 22
Enter the change reason code in the Change Reason field. Use the Visual Assist tool if needed.
Enter "017" into the Change Reason field.Step 23
Click the OK button.Step 24
Click the Close button.Step 25
