In this lesson you will learn how to inquire, add, and change employee supplemental data.
Steps:
Click the NIS State of Nebraska link.
Step 1Click the Human Resources/Payroll - Agencies link.
Step 2Click the Employee Maintenance link.
Step 3Click the Employee Information link.
Step 4First you will need to find the employee record. You can narrow your search by using the fields in the QBE line. Specifically the Employee No field (the employee's address book number), and the Alpha Name field.
Step 5Click in the Employee No field.
Step 6Enter "4874666" into the Employee No field.
Step 7After entering your search criteria in the QBE line click the Find button.
Step 8Choose the employee by clicking the check box next to their record.
Step 9Click the Row button.
Step 10Click the Supp. Data Entry menu.
Step 11If the row has a Data Mode "N" it is used to attach narative information. If the row has a Data Mode "C" it is used for code-format data types.
Step 12To update a row with a "C" Data Mode choose the row on the grid which you want to enter data by clicking the radio button.
Step 13Click the Select button.
Step 14On the Employee Information – General Description Entry window, type the appropriate values.
If you do not know which code to use you can use the Visual Assist tool.
Click the Visual Assist tool.
Step 15Click the F FULL TIME, PERMANENT option.
Step 16Click the Select button.
Step 17After entering the code click the OK button.
Step 18To update a row with a "N" Data Mode choose the row on the grid which you want to enter data by clicking the radio button.
Step 19Click the Select button.
Step 20Click the Text button.
Step 21Type the appropriate information in the text field.
Enter Test text" into the text field.
Step 22Click the Save button.
Step 23If you need to make changes to any of the rows you can modify them by clicking their radio button and clicking the Select button. You can then make the needed updates.
In this lesson we will not be making any modifications.
Step 24When you are finished lick the Close button.
Step 25Click the Close button.
