We have discovered Split Time Entry is not working correctly with
Labor Distribution utilizing the Hours Method. Depending on whether
agencies utilize the Copy Labor Distribution function when creating
time cards, or actually have the hours entered in Labor Distribution,
the system allocates more hours than are entered on the time card.
Then, if the employee is set up to pay on standard hours, the system
creates a negative "adjustment" to regular pay to get to
the standard hours, charging the employee's Home Business Unit. Agencies
using the Hours Method of Labor Distribution should review the allocation
of payroll costs for payrolls run since the 8.10 upgrade.
This issue does not affect an employee's pay, but does affect how
the pay is allocated to business units.
We are addressing the issue with Oracle, but in the meantime, agencies
can change their Labor Distribution to distribute based on percentages
(Percentage Method), rather than hours. The Percentage Method is distributing
