Subject: Thursday NIS Cutoff [8.10 Implementation]

As you all know, we have scheduled a shutdown of NIS on Thursday at 5 PM. This shutdown means all activity must cease at that time. To provide State Accounting time to clean up all loose items and to run some normally night reports PRIOR to 5 PM, I must ask all of you to complete all your activity, including posting of all transactions, by 1 PM on Thursday. IF you find you must get an item posted after 1 PM, I am asking you to contact someone in State Accounting, preferably Wes, Bruce or myself, and we will then either allow you to post it or we will post it for you. As a reminder, all activity approved or posted in NIS but not yet paid will be processed normally after 8.10 comes up on Tuesday.
